Business Development Representative
This is a business developmentdriven role focused on generating new client relationships within engineering and technology hiring. This is a 1099, commission-only position designed for individuals who are confident in their ability to generate revenue and want uncapped earning potential. Talent Connection is a specialized engineering and technology recruiting firm focused on infrastructure engineering, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems. We support companies with contract, contract-to-hire, and full-time hiring solutions, helping teams scale with high-quality technical talent through a relationship-driven, performance-focused approach. Talent Connection is seeking a Business Development Partner to help introduce organizations that are hiring engineering and technology professionals. This is a commission-based contract opportunity designed for entrepreneurial individuals interested in business development, client acquisition, and the recruiting industry. The Business Development Partner will focus on identifying companies that are hiring technical talent and introducing Talent Connection's recruiting services to hiring managers and decision-makers. Key Responsibilities: Identify companies actively hiring engineering or technology professionals Reach out to hiring managers, technology leaders, and decision-makers Introduce Talent Connection's recruiting services Schedule introductory meetings with potential clients Build relationships with prospective clients and maintain ongoing communication Collaborate with the founder on outreach strategy and client engagement Talent Connection will manage the recruiting process, candidate delivery, and client fulfillment once new opportunities are secured. This model is built for individuals who want to own their book of business and scale their income based on performance. Qualifications: Proven ability or strong track record in business development, sales, or client-facing roles Comfortable generating new opportunities through outbound outreach (LinkedIn, email, phone) Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and close Self-motivated and able to operate independently in a performance-based environment Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on ownership and revenue generation Preferred (Not Required): Experience in staffing, recruiting, or agency environments Background in technology, engineering, or related industries Prior experience working in commission-based or performance-driven roles This role is best suited for individuals who are confident in their ability to generate revenue and are motivated by uncapped earning potential. Compensation: This is a 1099, commission-only role with uncapped earning potential. Earn 40% of gross profit on all revenue generated from clients you introduce. Commission is tied to successful placements and client payment. You maintain ownership of the accounts you open, participating in ongoing revenue. Earning Potential: High performers can realistically scale to $200K$400K+ annually based on consistent client development and placements.
