Director Of Information Technology
The Squires Group is seeking an accomplished Director of Information Technology to lead enterprise-wide technology strategy and operations within a government-focused environment. This senior-level role is responsible for overseeing all business technology functions while ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational objectives and federal security requirements. This position is primarily onsite at a secured headquarters location in Fairfax, VA, with limited remote flexibility available following an initial performance period. Per contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an active Secret Clearance. Responsibilities
Lead enterprise IT strategy and operations across infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and compliance Manage cross-functional IT teams and vendor partners Drive organization-wide technology upgrades, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives Partner with business and executive leadership to deliver scalable, mission-aligned technology solutions Oversee risk management, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and cost optimization efforts Ensure operational resilience through disaster recovery and business continuity planning Support user enablement through training and adoption of new technologies Qualifications
10+ years of experience in information technology roles 5+ years of IT management and leadership experience Proven experience leading diverse IT teams and cross-functional initiatives Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and security frameworks, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and ServiceNow Demonstrated experience supporting federal compliance and security standards, including CMMC 2.0, Risk Management Framework (RMF), ITAR, and classified environments Ability to align technology strategy with business outcomes Experience managing large-scale technology projects Strong background in budget ownership and vendor management Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field Preferred Experience: Background in a government contracting corporate IT environment (internal enterprise IT), rather than contract-only or customer-site IT support. Per contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an active Secret Clearance. Compensation and Benefits Salary range of $200K-$220K, based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
