Data Center Operational Excellence - Operations Director

Support comprehensive data center operations across regional facilities, providing strategic leadership for mission-critical infrastructure operations while driving operational excellence, reliability, and efficiency to meet stringent service level agreements and business objectives. Key responsibilities include: Strategic Operations Leadership

Develop and execute operational support strategies for data center portfolio including capacity planning, performance optimization, and service delivery enhancement. Establish operational standards, policies, and procedures while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, client requirements, and industry best practices for mission-critical infrastructure management. Multi-Site Operations Management

Support operations across multiple data center facilities and clients. Provide support to facility managers, engineering teams, and technical staff. Provide technical expertise and program implementation support on deliverables (client service, operational, field execution) of operations and critical environments. Provide or coordinate SME resources to support the needs of the account or site. Risk Management and Compliance

Establish enterprise-level risk management frameworks for operational activities including business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and security protocols. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and corporate policies while implementing audit processes and quality assurance programs. Innovation and Technology Integration

Drive adoption of emerging technologies including automation systems, predictive analytics, and IoT platforms to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Champion digital transformation initiatives and evaluate new technologies for competitive advantage and operational improvement. Team Development

Provide leadership and coaching to operations teams to build capabilities in operational excellence methodologies, problem-solving techniques, and performance improvement practices. Foster collaboration between facilities, engineering, and support teams. Required qualifications include: 5+ years operational experience with responsibility for leading teams in a data center environment Demonstrated leadership skills in managing people and customers. Strong oral and written communication, negotiation and analytical skills. Strong strategic thinker and planner. Ability to develop and create alternative ways to proceed way forward. Strong analytical ability to think about all the factors that might affect a situation, recommend and execute solutions. Strong organizational skills, complements abilities, i.e. how resources can be arranged for maximum productivity. Strong judgment, problem-solving and crisis management skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. Fundamental skills in critical systems such as emergency/stand-by generators, automatic transfer switches, un-interruptible power supply (UPS) systems, power distribution systems, UPS batteries, etc. Technically proficient in operations of Building Management Systems, Life Safety Systems, CMMS, Microsoft Office, Power Point, Visio and Microsoft Outlook software. Extensive electrical, mechanical & plumbing knowledge of commercial facilities with a very strong background in critical data center operations. Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Estimated compensation for this position: 139,400.00 139,400.00 USD per year. This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
