Director Strategic Operation & Integration
Director Strategic Operation & Integration will partner with five Executive Vice Presidents (EVPs) who lead ISD-Engineering, ISD-Execution (West/Central/East), ISD-Operations Services, and ISD Business Services, ensuring enterprise-level initiatives and cross-functional programs are defined, organized, and delivered with speed and precision. This role will lead a small, high-impact team of Business Analysts and Associates to support the President and EVPs, enabling the senior leadership team to focus on strategy and decision-making. Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Initiative Delivery: Drive the definition, coordination, and execution of portfolio-wide strategic initiatives and transformational programs that span multiple functions. Serve as the President's trusted partner in converting strategic objectives into clear workstreams with scope, deliverables, and success metrics. Executive Support & Decision Enablement: Aggregate inputs from EVPs and their teams to build coherent, executive-level deliverables (board materials, strategy updates, business reviews, investor presentations). Synthesize complex operational and financial data into actionable recommendations. Portfolio Visibility & Performance Tracking: Maintain a single enterprise view of the multi-billion-dollar project portfolio, including key milestones, financial metrics, and risk indicators. Partner with Operations Services and Business Services to integrate project controls, financial forecasting, and resource planning into strategic decision support. Change Leadership & Culture Stewardship: Act as a catalyst for cultural alignment across a rapidly scaling organization by promoting collaboration, accountability, and transparency. Help embed enterprise governance, process excellence, and best practices into the leadership rhythm of the President's team. Organizational Leverage & Team Leadership: Lead and manage a small team of Business Analysts and Associates who directly support the President and EVPs, relieving EVPs from the need to manage individual contributors. Establish processes and tools for effective collaboration and delivery of enterprise initiatives. Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related technical or analytical field. 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in large, complex, project-driven industries (energy, infrastructure, engineering & construction, utilities, or similar). Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives across multiple executive domains. Strong strategic thinking, structured problem solving, and program management skills. Executive-level communication and influence capabilities; skilled at framing recommendations for C-suite and board audiences. Experience leading small, high-performing teams of analysts or project professionals. Deep familiarity with capital project delivery, operations, and corporate services functions in a large, matrixed organization. Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications MBA or other advanced degree (e.g., Master's in Engineering, Finance, or Strategy). Equivalent senior executive experience demonstrating mastery of corporate strategy, enterprise program delivery, and large-scale capital project economics can substitute for a graduate degree. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent, if engineering background. PMP / PgMP, or advanced program management certifications (if portfolio execution emphasis). CFA / CPA background if heavy financial structuring or M&A exposure is part of the role. Travel Requirements 50% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location. Physical Activities Climbing stairs. Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
