Business Banking Relationship Manager
Responsible to manage the strategic client relationships in business banking which will include managing an existing portfolio of business and the acquisition of new business. Clients generally are between $1MM and $10MM in annual revenue. Generate, retain, and expand lending, investment, and deposit relationship with new and existing clients through client referrals, centers of influence, and direct prospecting. Develop, generate, and follow up on new client leads through existing clients, client referrals, COI referrals, and prospecting. Manage overall relationship profitability and portfolio risk and is responsible for profitable growth of the portfolio assigned (includes loans, deposits, and fee income). Act as a consultant to clients and a resource to the bank in developing and retaining business. Provide insight and ideas for enhancing client relationships, client cash flow, profitability, and efficiency. Manage the overall credit quality of assigned portfolio (includes sales, credit analysis, loan structuring, client and prospect interviews). Monitor and manage existing credit relationship, which includes note renewals, reviewing and detailed analysis of current financial statements and collateral valuations, credit analysis, cash flow analysis, delinquency reporting, documenting exceptions and covenant monitoring, compiling reports necessary to monitor asset and credit quality and compliance with policy/regulation. Negotiate loan proposals, analyze and evaluate credit requests and write loan commitments, recommend appropriate credit grade, make oral/written presentation to underwriter or loan committee, and implement approval/declination action. Serve as the primary link for all financial services to the individual business banking client with the bank (i.e. Treasury Services, International, Trust, and Cash Vault). Participate in community and professional activities in order to enhance the banks image and expand personal network of business contacts for development of new business. Monitor accounts to identify potential credit problems and assure proper loan documentation. Customers tend to have complicated lending requirements involving term loan agreements, commercial real estate, and revolving credit lines. Communicate and collaborate with consistency and transparency with business banking teams and internal partners. Consistently use and maintain CRM usage. Other duties as assigned. Bachelors degree OR equivalent work experience. 5 years proven business banking sales experience. Demonstrates strong strategic sales knowledge selling to small business owners. Demonstrates proficient level of business banking product knowledge and product innovation. Knowledge of market/industry trends. Demonstrates ability to source/produce efficient credit opportunities. Knowledge of credit and operational risk ability to quantify potential exposure and advise team. Understanding of credit underwriting. Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial lending practices and loan documentation/loan servicing requirements. Demonstrates knowledge of financial analysis (including ratio and trend analysis and projections). Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Demonstrated capacity to sell products/services within the financial services industry. Demonstrates proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
