The Event Specialist plays a key role in growing and sustaining Belmont Park's birthday and group events market. This position manages the full sales and coordination process for birthday packages and supports event logistics for gatherings ranging from small celebrations to large-scale events hosting thousands of attendees. You will work closely with clients and internal departments to ensure every event is well organized, professionally detailed, and executed smoothly from the first inquiry through post-event follow-up. As an Event Specialist, you oversee the full lifecycle of birthday and group events. From responding to leads and preparing contracts to detailing Banquet Event Orders and welcoming clients onsite, you ensure every event is organized, profitable, and memorable. Your attention to detail and collaborative approach help ensure all departments work together to deliver exceptional experiences for both clients and guests. What You'll Be Doing Client Support & Event Coordination

Manage birthday event sales from initial inquiry through contract completion and event execution Collaborate with internal departments to detail event logistics, room setups, and operational needs Input and maintain accurate event information within the sales software system Create and manage professional proposals, estimates, contracts, and event diagrams Proactively recommend upgrades, additional services, or expanded event spaces to maximize sales opportunities Maintain strong client relationships through professional, courteous, and service-focused communication Welcome clients onsite during events and ensure a smooth transition through the event process Assist with event close-out procedures and support rebooking opportunities when appropriate Sales & Administrative Support

Respond to sales inquiries and assist with office phone coverage when Sales staff are unavailable Support the Sales team in meeting departmental goals and revenue objectives Maintain organized and well-documented files and records for all events Order and manage office supplies for the Sales Department Ensure administrative tasks are completed efficiently to support overall sales operations Communication & Collaboration

Coordinate closely with departments across the park to ensure events run smoothly Maintain current knowledge of venues, food and beverage minimums, promotions, and sales strategies Communicate event updates and details clearly to ensure all teams are aligned on event execution Support operational planning to ensure events exceed client expectations Professionalism & Representation

Able to move equipment which would include pushing, pulling, stooping and shoving, and bending. Able to work outdoors may be exposed to a variety of weather conditions such as rain, cold temperatures, direct sunlight, high heat, and humidity. Able to work in a noisy environment. Ability to climb stairs. Skills/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, with a degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in hospitality sales, event coordination, event planning, or a related client-facing role required. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships while providing attentive and responsive service throughout the event planning and execution process. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple events, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously. Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately prepare proposals, contracts, Banquet Event Orders, and other event documentation. Ability to identify sales opportunities and confidently recommend additional services, upgraded spaces, or enhanced menu offerings to support revenue goals. Expected Hours of Work: This role is expected to work Wednesday through Sunday unless event needs require otherwise. Flexible availability is required, including nights, holidays, and peak seasons. Testing/Work Authorization: Valid U.S. work authorization required. Pre-Employment Background Check and Drug Test Required.
