The Company is seeking an Interim Director for its Emergency Department to provide essential strategic and operational leadership in a high-acuity setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a large team, with a focus on improving department flow, throughput, and reducing length of stay. This role also involves mentoring a new manager and fostering a culture of accountability and urgency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency department leadership within fast-paced hospital environments, with a proven track record of enhancing patient flow, mentoring emerging leaders, and driving operational performance. Key skills include being highly organized, patient-focused, and adaptable to the dynamic needs of the department, with excellent communication abilities.
Applicants for the Interim Director position must have a Bachelor’s degree, an active RN license, and at least five years of progressive emergency department leadership experience, particularly in high-volume acute care settings. Experience in improving throughput and length of stay metrics is strongly preferred. The role requires a leader who can start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance and is capable of making a significant impact in a short period. The Interim Director will be part of a community that offers a warm desert climate, outdoor activities, and convenient access to the greater metropolitan area.
