UCSF Enterprise Strategy & Transformation (EST) seeks an exceptional professional to join our highly skilled and engaged team providing internal consulting services to our dynamic, mission-driven institution. The Consultant provides strategic facilitation and coordination support for internal initiatives, helping leaders and teams plan, prioritize, and execute strategy, process improvement, and digital transformation efforts. The EST staff enjoy challenging and impactful project work, professional development opportunities, and an engaging work environment. Consultant Use and apply management consulting skills to deliver programs and projects that involve multiple organizations and stakeholders. Effectively support moderate to complex initiatives and programs, including scheduling, facilitation, documentation, and communications.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Organizational Change, Business Administration, or related area, and 3-5 years of relevant experience; and/or equivalent experience/training
* Demonstrated knowledge of project proposals and project plans
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, project planning, and implementation skills
* Knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts
* Ability to assess needs and collaborate with teams to design effective solutions
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, reason, synthesize, and generalize information
* Ability to coach, facilitate, and influence individuals and teams; strong facilitation, relationship-building, and consulting skills
* Ability to focus on priorities, strategies, and organizational vision
Preferred Qualifications
* 4-7 years of relevant experience in universities or management consulting
* Experience using AI to enhance domain expertise, generate higher-quality insights, and create reusable patterns that elevate team performance
* Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for assessing, designing, and implementing technology systems
* Knowledge of Lean methodology for assessing, designing, and implementing organizational improvements

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
