Cabinet Maker Apprentice
The Cabinet Maker Apprentice supports the production team in building high-quality custom cabinetry and furniture. This entry-level role is designed to develop foundational woodworking skills through hands-on training and mentorship. The apprentice will assist with material preparation, assembly, finishing, and general shop duties while learning to operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals interested in developing a career in woodworking, cabinetry, or custom furniture manufacturing. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assist in the construction and assembly of custom cabinets and furniture Measure, cut, sand, and prepare wood and other materials Operate hand tools and power equipment under supervision Follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Maintain a clean and organized work environment Support finishing processes such as staining, painting, and sealing Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy Follow all safety procedures and company policies Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials within the facility Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines Reasoning Ability
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic problem-solving skills and willingness to ask questions Ability to read measurements and perform basic math calculations Capacity to learn and apply new skills in a hands-on environment Language Skills
Basic ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and work orders Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred Previous woodworking, construction, or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required Vocational or technical training in woodworking or a related field is preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
None required OSHA 10 certification is a plus Forklift certification is a plus Physical Demands
