Assistant Site Director - UT Child Development Center
To assist the site director in the daily operation of the UT Child Development Center. Responsibilities: Maintain all enrollment and staff records including immunizations. Supervise classrooms and staff at the program. Give tours, communicate daily with parents and visitors. Assist with maintaining requirements of Child Care Licensing and Accreditation standards as well as requirements for health and safety. Assist with staffing the program and hiring new employees. Other related functions as assigned. Required Qualifications: Demonstration of the competencies: Motivating others, Planning work for others, Managing conflict, Managing and measuring work, and Complying with policies and procedures at The University of Texas at Austin, typically acquired by a Bachelor's Degree, one year of experience as a teacher or administrator of a licensed child care facility and the university's Transition to Management Certificate (or equivalent). Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications: Degree in child related field. Previous experience working as a director or assistant director of a licensed child development center. Previous experience working in an accredited child development center. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Stable work history. Salary Range: $65,000 Working Conditions: May work around standard office conditions Use of manual dexterity Climbing of stairs Lifting and moving Exposure to various bodily fluids Working indoors and outdoors Lifting up to 30 lbs. Work Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm Position may occasionally require work during non-business hours for center events and required professional development. Also, being able to help with opening shift on occasion is a plus (7:00am - 4:00pm) Required Materials: Resume/CV, 3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisor, Letter of interest
