The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full‑Time Assistant Child Development Center Director, GS-1701-11, Offutt AFB, NE. The primary purpose is to serve as a first level supervisor and assist the Child Development Center Director in supervision of the day‑to‑day operation of a Child Development Center. The position develops, implements, and administers child development programs; provides an overall safe and healthy environment to stimulate and sustain the interest of children; assists with administration; and organizes the educational and developmental programs and managerial authorities.
The position salary starts at $75,425 – $98,058 (Based on experience). This position can close at any time.

Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
Drug Test: No
Professional knowledge of child development theory, methodology, and practices relating to physical, intellectual, social and special education needs and center management.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations governing childcare to include regulatory requirements, policies and practices.
Knowledge of financial, budget, resource management practices and principles, and analytical and evaluative methods and techniques.
Knowledge of the USDA food program requirements.
Skill in educating, counseling and advising childcare providers and parents; assessing training and children’s developmental needs.
Skill in conducting regular and periodic audits, studies, and inspections, evaluating the results, determining the feasibility of necessary improvements and coordinating corrective action.
