ABC7 is seeking a strong, collaborative Producer to support our weekday 7:00 a.m. streaming newscast. This role is responsible for shaping editorial content from concept through execution, including story development, writing, editing, graphics, and overall production flow. The ideal candidate has proven control room experience, thrives in fast-paced live environments, and demonstrates expert judgment during breaking news. This Producer is a proactive self-starter with a strong commitment to multi-platform storytelling across TV, digital, and social media. We are looking for a team player who can collaborate effectively with a wide range of personnel while supporting and contributing to an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities:

Lead story development and provide editorial context for ABC7's weekday 7:00 a.m. streaming newscast
Write scripts, teases, and other on-air content; perform non-linear desktop editing and build graphics
Make real-time editorial decisions and guide reporters, writers, and photographers on content creation
Manage timing and oversee all editorial and production elements in the control room
Handle live and breaking news with strong editorial judgment and composure under pressure
Contribute story ideas daily and participate actively in coverage decisions and editorial meetings

Basic Qualifications:

At least five years of experience in a top 50 market
Must have excellent writing skills, possess solid news judgment and ethical decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area
Experience using newsroom software Dalet, desktop editing, communication tools such as MS Teams.
Bilingual is beneficial

Bachelor's degree

Journalism or Communications degree

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $75,600 to $101,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

News Producer (Primary) - Wanf

Passionate, creative, experienced producer needed to join Gray Television's flagship hometown station. There is no shortage of news in this vibrant, growing southern city. We are looking for the right producer to help bring those stories to life on Atlanta News First!

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Produce 30-60 minutes of local news daily; select stories, determine story order, write broadcast scripts, select video, create and/or order graphics and other showcasing elements to enhance viewer experience and understanding of content
Create and execute a vision for the newscast that is anchored in the Atlanta News First brand pillars and audience research
Collaborate with anchors, reporters, digital producers, editors, directors, management, etc., to choreograph all elements of the newscast from big picture to minute details

Qualifications/Requirements:

Required: Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field; minimum of 5 years' experience producing and boothing live broadcast newscasts; excellent time management, communication, and broadcast writing skills; proven track record of working at a high level under tight deadlines; ability to work independently and as part of a team; must provide samples of recent work
Preferred: Experience in line production in a medium or large market; experience producing special projects, unscripted live events, digital/ streaming/ social media content; field producing experience; segment producing experience

Executive News Producer - WXIX

WXIX FOX19 has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Producer to lead our morning team to produce engaging, compelling, and impactful newscasts. Our EP works closely with news & station managers to achieve strategic content & ratings goals. In addition, the successful candidate will exercise strong news judgment, review newscast rundowns, and approve scripts with an eye towards accuracy and promotable content. You will collaborate with producers on rundowns, story selection, showcasing, formats, graphic elements, and pace and flow of newscasts. You will work with multimedia reporters/photographers to determine the direction of stories. You will occasionally fill in line produce for newscasts during vacation periods or illness.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Oversee the consistent creation of urgent, relevant, impactful newscasts
Lead/ actively participate in editorial discussions, review rundowns and scripts, and develop coverage plans
Demonstrate vision for the execution of the First Alert Weather brand
Collaborate with news leadership team to execute an effective content strategy
Keep producers engaged through consistent, constructive feedback and training
Oversee live on-air product during designated hours
Manage producer schedules and show assignments
Produce newscasts as needed (fill-in)

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
Minimum 5 years of line producing experience, medium to large market experience preferred
Minimum of 2 years in a news leadership role
Excellent news judgment, organizational, time management, and communication skills are required
Scheduling flexibility required
