Medica will host a 12-week, paid Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to network within Medica and with other Interns through weekly Lunch and Learns and opportunities to hear from Executives. Each internship offers a meaningful experience and impactful projects you'll be able to discuss with future employers. At Medica, we look forward to our Summer Internship Program each year.

We are looking for a Commercial Product Intern to join our Commercial Markets Division. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting self-funded product strategy, documentation, and operational initiatives, with exposure to cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing, product, and operational teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with aligning and updating product and operational documentation
  • Support self-funded pricing initiatives by researching information, gathering data, and assisting with documentation, analysis, and summary materials
  • Contributing to the self-funded operating model project, specifically through collecting information and updating our experience mapping documentation

  • Assist with the development of a business case to support funding requests for strategic initiatives
  • Supporting our self-funded value story efforts, including cross-functional collaboration with marketing and other departments

  • Help coordinate sales and account management training sessions, including scheduling, preparation, and logistical support
  • Support additional commercial product-related projects and tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field

Skills and Abilities

  • Project management and financial analysis experience through prior internships, coursework. etc, preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Interest in commercial health insurance, self-funded products, product strategy, or healthcare business operations

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.

The full salary grade for this position is $34,100 - $43,900. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
