Senior Revenue Accounting Consultant
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Hybrid in the South Bay
Overview We are hiring a
Senior Revenue Accounting Consultant
to support one of our client's teams as they are in fast growth mode. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition, validate system data flows, and assess the impact in accordance with ASC 606.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Finance, Sales Operations, IT, Order Fulfillment, and Product teams to support initiatives.
Review and validate revenue data flows, system configurations, and reporting outputs during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for any new product launches.
Analyze revenue recognition outcomes and evaluate financial impact to ensure compliance with ASC 606.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, interpret results, and recommend solutions based on revenue accounting expertise.
Develop Excel models, templates, and analytical tools to support data validation and revenue analysis.
Navigate multiple systems to review transactional data and ensure proper revenue treatment across platforms.
Provide guidance and recommendations on revenue recognition for SaaS products and related contracts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Accounting or Finance .
Minimum 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting under ASC 606, ideally within a SaaS or software environment.
Advanced
Excel skills
(formulas, data analysis, reconciliation).
Experience working with systems such as SAP, Salesforce (SFDC), or other ERP/CRM platforms.
