KODA Camp Counselor-In-Training (CIT)

General Responsibility Assists counselors and the coordinators with the campers' activities.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Child of Deaf Adults (CODA), 17 years old

Prior experience as a camper

Ability to follow directions, guidance and feedback

Ability and willingness to place the needs of campers above personal desires

Be a role model and set a good example for campers

Participate in group discussions regarding the planning of activities prior to arriving at camp

Lead and supervise activities within your department

Follow and maintain the health and safety regulations. Make sure campers do the same.

Be an active participant in camp activities while exemplifying good sportsmanship, positive attitude and ready to try new things

Ability to communicate effectively with campers and other counselors

Perform all duties as assigned

Attend staff meetings, and offer support to staff members

Willingness to work together as a team and support others to meet group goals

Have an understanding, acceptance and implantation of CM7 rules and expectations, overall mission, and core values.
