CMC Regulatory Data Science Co-Op (Hybrid)

Description Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Data Science co‑op to join our CMC Regulatory Affairs department located at our Ridgefield facility. As a co‑op, you will utilize your data science background to optimize data platforms and develop reports for marketed products. This includes evaluating data/databases managed by the Regulatory Affairs team, identifying solutions to simplify and automate data management, and building platforms for data management in alignment with Boehringer Ingelheim’s digitial innovation initiative.

This role is a hybrid role and does require 2 days a week onsite at our Ridgefield, CT offices.

Duties & Responsibilities

Optimize current data platforms for report generation

Use existing applications (e.g., PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Sharepoint, etc.) to develop relevant reports

Evaluate federal state regulations to ensure reports meet regulatory needs

Optimize CMC databases and tracking tools using existing software applications

Create dashboards for CMC submission metrics and information databases, as applicable

Requirements

Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing

Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship/co‑op

Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred

Major or minor in related field of internship/co‑op

Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university

Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university

Eligibility Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction

Must be willing to take a drug test and post‑offer physical (if required)

Must be 18 years of age or older

Desired Skills, Experience And Abilities

Degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or something similar

Excellent computer and information technology literacy

Excellent skills in planning, organizing, and problem‑solving

Strong communication (verbal and written) skills

Ability to work well under pressure, work in a team environment, flexibility to adapt in a changing environment.

Detail oriented, well organized
