Starting Pay $43,000 to $49,000/yr, depending on experience. We do not pay commissions. This is the annual rate of pay.
Location Headquarters is located in Leavenworth, KS. Additional Satellite office on Fort Leavenworth available, contingent upon training and performance.
Work From Home Requirements This position may be eligible for 50% telecommuting after the training period and with satisfactory job performance.

As a member of the New Member Sales Team, you’ll be responsible for providing sales support to aid in expanding the company's book of business for Property and Casualty insurance products. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who responds to and initiates face-to-face, telephone, email, and written communications with policyholders/prospects for the purpose of servicing AFI (includes AFI and AFIA) products.
Core Functions
Makes outbound calls to customers or interested third parties to provide or obtain additional information and follow up on previous contacts. Takes inbound calls as needed.
Assists Agents with fulfillment of application processing and following up with required documentation.
Provides maintenance of AFI policies for retention of membership.
Must Have Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
At least 2 years of direct customer service or relevant experience
Associate Degree or BA/BS may be substituted for this requirement
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, to include a courteous, confident demeanor and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary
A provable track record of assertiveness, dependability, trustworthiness, strong communication skills and ability to support sales targets
Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills
Keyboard skills of at least 35 wpm
Nice To Have Qualifications
Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word
Prior knowledge of the insurance industry, insurance products risk management profiles, and related state and federal regulations
Ability to accomplish work according to established priorities and procedures
What Professional Education Requirements Do I Need To Obtain
Successful completion within 90 days of standardized training in Principles of Insurance, Dwelling Coverages, Homeowner Coverages, and Personal Auto Coverages*
if incumbent did not have prior experience in a position with this requirement
