About the Role A major business media company with two well‑known national brands is looking for a Design Intern to join its digital design team. The team manages cross‑device projects spanning editorial websites, branded content, sales and marketing materials, and event collateral. This is a hands‑on role where the intern will concept and build assets across digital and print, support Figma design systems, and help develop daily content and special editorial packages for the web.
The position follows a 3-day hybrid schedule (Tuesday through Thursday onsite) at the company's New York City office. Remote candidates may be considered for the right fit. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
What the Role Covers
Creating visually compelling designs across digital and print formats
Supporting the lead designer in building and organizing Figma design systems
Producing branded and co‑branded digital assets, including ad units, email blasts, and marketing materials
Designing presentations, sell sheets, and comps for marketing pitches, client meetings, and events
Qualifications
Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or Interaction/Digital Design
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD)
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
Strong typographic and layout skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Interest in digital and UX design
