
Intellectual Property Secretary

A long-standing, full-service law firm in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Secretary to join their team. This role will be working closely with three attorneys, assisting with the full scope of the patent prosecution process for both domestic and foreign filings. This position requires 4 onsite days and offers 1 remote day.
Responsibilities
Assist with preparing and filing patent applications, responses to office actions, and other related documents.
Maintain and update patent dockets in partnership with the firm’s Docketing Department, ensuring deadlines are met.
Prepare and file PCT and foreign patent applications.
Manage communication with clients, patent offices and foreign associates.
Retrieve prebills and invoice documents from Accounting Department on a monthly basis; edit prebills per attorney comments; proofread and send approved invoices to clients.
Qualifications
3+ years of patent prosecution experience, preferably from a law firm.
Strong knowledge of the patent prosecution procedures.
Ability to work onsite 4 days/week
The compensation range for this position is $85,000-$9,000. The firm also offers benefits including health coverage, a profit sharing plan, and 15 PTO days to begin.
