SAP Fiori UX Consultant/Developer (Mid) - U.S. Citizenship Required

Position Description CGI is seeking an experienced SAP Fiori UX Consultant / Developer to support an SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation project for a large government contract in the public sector. As a Developer, you will be involved in many stages of the application lifecycle, from design to deployment. You will convert user requirements into Technical Design Specifications and develop solutions aligned with those designs. You will collaborate with other developers to ensure maintainable development practices and participate in code reviews.

This project operates in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment that leverages Agile/Scrum methodology to quickly build solutions based on customer requirements. You are encouraged to learn new technologies and recommend improvements to business processes. Success in this role will be achieved through your ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively with our clients.

This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.

Future duties and responsibilities

Create intuitive and user-friendly SAP Fiori applications to enhance the user experience within the S/4HANA environment, utilizing the HTML5 development toolkit based on JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5.

Work closely with functional and technical teams to analyze requirements and ensure seamless integration of UX designs with backend processes.

Engage in development activities, performance analysis, testing, issue analysis, triage, debugging, job scheduling, execution, monitoring, and issue resolution to ensure optimal application functionality.

Develop SAP Fiori applications using the HTML5 development toolkit based on JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5.

Utilize SAP Gateway Service Builder to develop SAP OData entities for consumption by external applications via HTTP(s).

Implement best practices to enhance the performance and responsiveness of user interfaces, ensuring a smooth and efficient user experience.

Participate in the analysis of customer business operations to validate requirements and scope, suggesting process improvements where applicable.

Convert business‑critical requirements into SAP applications.

Develop and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents, and conduct unit, integration, and release testing to validate functionality.

Required Qualifications

U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check (required due to contract requirements). Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 implementations across various SAP versions.

Hands‑on experience integrating backend SAP and non‑SAP applications.

Hands‑on experience in SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 custom development.

Expertise in configuring standard Fiori applications and enhancing Fiori apps based on client requirements.

Experience with SAP Gateway and OData Services for UI5 development.

Hands‑on experience with SAP development and CDS.

Experience in designing and developing interfaces/APIs with a focus on reusability and configurability.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.

Desired qualifications

Certifications related to Application Development or Agile methodologies.

Experience in problem‑solving and troubleshooting complex issues.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit‑based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $194,000.00.
