
Survey Crew Chief - Lead Field Mapping & Staking (Hybrid)

What You’ll Do
Lead and manage a field crew on a variety of mapping and staking projects. Conduct topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS, and utility surveys using GNSS, robotic total stations, and digital levels. Set control points and collect aerial control data for drone and LiDAR flights. Perform construction staking for site grading, utilities, and infrastructure. Ensure accurate field data collection and thorough documentation. Collaborate with office staff to support data processing, CAD drafting, and QA/QC efforts. Maintain equipment, ensure field safety, and represent the company professionally on-site.
Requirements
Typically, 3+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief Proficiency in GPS (Trimble or Leica), robotic total stations, and data collectors. Strong experience in mapping surveys, with knowledge of construction layout techniques. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions and travel as needed within Colorado.
What We Offer
We are targeting a
base rate
of $28.00 to $41.00, but it is determined by several factors including education, experience, and a history of working in the Denver metro area.
