Position Overview
Healthy Kids Programs is seeking an experienced
Regional Director
to oversee multi‑site childcare programs across Connecticut. The role ensures program excellence, supports site directors, and maintains compliance with CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC) regulations.
Location: Multiple sites across Connecticut
Salary: $45,000 – $50,000 annually
Reports To: Senior Leadership | Direct Reports: Program Site Staff

Key Responsibilities
Provide oversight and guidance for Before & After School and Summer Camp programs across 9+ licensed sites.
Recruit, train, supervise, and support site directors and staff, ensuring compliance with OEC qualifications.
Ensure all programs comply with OEC licensing regulations, including staff‑to‑child ratios, safety, supervision, and program standards.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor program quality and approve supply orders.
Manage staffing, including attendance, callouts, skill development, and progressive discipline.
Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance programs, expand the region, and implement innovative initiatives.
Oversee budgets with a focus on payroll and resource management.
Maintain positive relationships with site hosts, parents, and regulatory agencies.
Support marketing, registration, and community engagement efforts.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Early Childhood Education or related field preferred).
2+ years of experience working with children under 13 (licensed childcare experience preferred).
5+ years of supervisory experience, including staff and operations management.
Head Teacher Certification for school‑age students.
Connecticut Director’s Credential (or completion of Administration and Supervision of Early Childhood Programs).
Knowledge of CT Office of Early Childhood Regulations (OEC) and best practices.
Experience with HR and payroll platforms, as well as registration and attendance tracking systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and ability to analyze data and support cross‑functional communication.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Must pass all OEC‑required background checks, be medically fit, and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Valid driver’s license is required.
