Principal Product Manager, Conversational Chatbot

Position Summary You will work cross‑functionally to guide complex products from conception to launch by connecting the product vision and specific solutions needed to solve business and customer problems. You will partner with engineering, operations, sales, design and other product teams to reimagine and build GEICO’s digital experience across mobile app, web and desktop. You will be a single‑threaded owner driving end‑to‑end experience across all platform‑agnostic business lines.

Location Hybrid role based either in the San Francisco Bay Area or Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

Build complex conversational AI and chatbot experiences at large scale.

Define and execute a multi‑year unified vision in partnership with business and engineering teams.

Lead cross‑functional teams that drive results during product discovery and delivery.

Synthesize business, market and platform data to identify opportunities and translate them into product vision, strategy and requirements.

Own and prioritize short‑term and long‑term product roadmap to deliver business outcomes.

Partner with UX team to drive a stellar experience for customers.

Create, prioritize and execute the product roadmap for the entire policy experience lifecycle.

Leverage modern architecture and great design to identify problem‑solution fit.

Evaluate trade‑offs and negotiate requirements.

Use compelling artifacts to influence stakeholders (vision, road‑maps, features/epics, progress updates).

Understand current and future state architecture.

Identify and measure KPIs and adjust roadmap accordingly.

Mentor other Product Managers and build a high‑performing product organization.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree.

10+ years of experience in Product Management building complex software and technology products at large scale.

Experience building consumer‑facing online and mobile app products with strong customer focus and ownership mindset.

Builder mindset with proven experience managing all aspects of product lifecycle from concept to delivery to scaling.

Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and drive change.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or equivalent experience.

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as software engineering or computer science.

Experience in e‑commerce, financial services and marketplace digital‑first companies.

Self‑starter with proven ability to operate in an ambiguous startup‑like environment.

Annual Salary $131,200.00 – $229,600.00

Annual salary range is a general guideline; final compensation is based on scope of role, experience, location and market considerations.
