
Entry Level - Structural Bridge Designer

Job Description
KPFF is looking for full‑time structural engineering professionals for our Greater Los Angeles Structural office. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for engineering excellence and a desire to develop design and project management skills. This position will provide the opportunity to work on public and private projects across planning, design, permitting and construction, with a focus on structural design for bridges, waterfront infrastructure and other horizontal construction projects in the West Coast region.
Engineers work in a team structure that allows frequent collaboration across all levels, from interns to principals, and fosters professional growth through social events, technical training and teaching opportunities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Duties performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
Requires prolonged computer use.
Occasional lifting of items up to 15 lbs.
In‑person attendance required Monday through Friday during the training period (8 AM–5 PM, Downtown Los Angeles office).
After satisfactory training, a hybrid schedule of two days per week in the office may be accommodated.

Qualifications
B.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
M.S. in Civil Engineering preferred, with a structural emphasis.
EIT required.
Experience with concrete, steel, timber, pre‑stressed concrete, seismic coursework or design.
Familiarity with non‑linear analysis.
Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members.
