
Senior IT Sales Engineers

Responsibilities
Kforce's client, a growing software-based company, is seeking a Senior IT Sales Engineer. We are working directly with the hiring manager on this search assignment. This position is hybrid remote (3 days onsite and 2 days remote) in Tempe, AZ. The role requires someone with strong technical aptitude—ideally with prior experience as a developer or hands‑on IT professional that has moved up into an IT Sales Engineer position—who is eager to learn, adapt, and contribute to innovative projects. While understanding business needs is important, technical curiosity and problem‑solving skills are paramount.
Collaborate with teams on technical projects, quickly researching and understanding unfamiliar technologies or tools
Demonstrate initiative by proactively seeking answers and solutions (e.g., researching new concepts or technologies independently)
Support cloud and software‑related initiatives, ensuring technical requirements are met
Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
Requirements
Hands‑on experience in the IT world
Strong experience in working with customers and helping to acquire new customers
Familiarity with basic technical concepts (e.g., cloud technologies) and willingness to research and learn as needed
No specific tech stack required; broad IT knowledge is beneficial
Background in a software company or similar environment preferred
Strong presentation skills
Learning Agility: Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, research unfamiliar topics, and apply findings effectively
Character: Integrity, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset
Work ethic: Hunger to learn, willingness to jump in and help, and a proactive attitude
Certifications are not required
Nice To Haves
Prior software development experience is a plus
Experience with Cybersecurity would be ideal
Technically curious and resourceful—someone who doesn't wait for answers but actively seeks them
Comfortable with ambiguity and thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
A go‑get‑ter who is passionate about technology and continuous learning
Familiarity with technologies such as C#, .NET, Microsoft MVC, Entity Framework, AngularJS, Microsoft Azure and DevOps/Jira integration for tracking and scalable portals
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
