About Us ANLA Associates, Inc., a well-established landscape architecture firm located near the charming Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose, is seeking a talented
Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer
to join our team. We specialize in landscape architectural site design, with a diverse portfolio that includes a strong emphasis on educational projects. Our work spans from needs assessments and master planning to construction administration.
Position Summary This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of landscape architecture projects from concept through construction. The successful candidate will support project development through design, technical documentation, and field observation.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in landscape site design and graphic renderings
Prepare landscape construction documents and specifications
Assist with estimating construction costs
Construction site walks and observation
Project coordination with clients, consultants, and team members
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and WELO requirements
Qualifications
Experience in the public work sector is desired
5–7 years of professional experience in landscape design and construction documentation
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2021 for drafting site plans, construction drawings, and details
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Strong knowledge of California plant material, particularly suitable for Bay Area climates
Proficiency in irrigation design and understanding of WELO requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to conduct construction job site walks
Reliable means of transportation to attend site visits, and licensed to drive in California
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually, depending on experience
Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave

Work Schedule
Standard office hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
