Sr. HRIS Analyst Location: Bengaluru, India

The HRIS Analyst will oversee the implementation, administration, maintenance, and optimization of Vectra’s HR information systems (HRIS)and dataon a global basis across 25+ countries. They will serve as the subject matter expert for theanticipated2026implementation of Workday HCMand resident HR data&analytics expert. The HRIS Manager’s responsibilities include tactical consulting and day-to-day operations, but also ownership of the strategic HR technology roadmap and the lead for transformative projects.

This position is an Individual Contributor role, based inVectra AI’sBengaluru,Indiaoffice(with hybridschedule flexibility)and will support global HR operationsspanning various time zones.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end administration, optimization, and strategic roadmap of Vectra’s HR technology ecosystem (BambooHR,Workday,CultureAmp,Workato, Greenhouse, Docebo , Assemble ), ensuring systems are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business needs

Act as the primary HRIS expert and operator, independently managing system configuration, troubleshooting, enhancements, and day-to-day performance without reliance on external support

Lead data analysis initiatives across the employee lifecycle, transforming raw HR data into actionable insights that inform workforce planning, talent strategy, and executive decision‑making

Design, build, and maintain advanced dashboards and data visualizations (e.g., headcount, attrition, workforce composition and cost, hiring funnel, DEI, engagement) tailored to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership

Develop and automate recurring and ad hoc reporting, improving data accessibility while reducing manual effort and increasing accuracy

Establish and enforce data governance standards, including data integrity, validation processes, and audit mechanisms to ensure high‑quality, reliable HR data

Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within HR data (e.g., attrition risk, hiring bottlenecks, compensation insights), and present clear, data‑backed recommendations

Lead the analysis, planning, and internal project management for the transition to Workday HCM in 2026, including requirements gathering, data mapping, process redesign, and change management

Partner cross‑functionally with IT, Finance, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partners to align systems and reporting with business priorities

Own HRIS vendor relationships, driving accountability on SLAs, influencing product improvements, and ensuring optimal system performance and ROI

Manage system updates, releases, and enhancements; evaluate and implement new modules or features to continuously improve functionality and user experience

Architect, build, and maintain integrations between HR systems and other business applications using native tools and middleware (e.g., Workato), with a focus on automation and scalability

Define and maintain security frameworks, including role‑based access, permissions, and data privacy controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations

Serve as the go‑to expert for HR data and systems, providing guidance, training, and thought leadership to stakeholders across the organization

Stay ahead of industry trends in HR technology, people analytics, and data security, bringing forward recommendations to modernize and future‑prove the HR tech stack

Ensure HRIS compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies, including data security and confidentiality

Qualifications

5–8+ years of experience in HRIS, People Analytics, or HR Operations with a strong focus on data analysis and system ownership

Proven experience independently managing and optimizing HR systems (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, Greenhouse, or similar), including configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancements

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for stakeholders, including senior leadership

Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms ),withdemonstratedproficiencyusing GenAI toolstodevelopand improveanalytics

Demonstrated experience building dashboards and data visualizations that drive business decisions, not just report metrics

Hands‑on experience with HRIS implementations or major system migrations (Workday experience strongly preferred), including data mapping, testing, and process redesign

Experience designing and maintaining integrations between systems (APIs, middleware such as Workato, or similar tools)

Strong understanding of HR data structures, workforce metrics (e.g., headcount, attrition, recruiting funnel, compensation), and data governance best practices

Experience establishing and maintaining data quality standards, audits, and validation processes

Ability to operate autonomously, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional partners (HR, IT, Finance, Payroll) and translate business needs into technical solutions

Knowledge of HR compliance requirements, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and security best practices

Experience defining and managing role‑based security models and access controls within HR systems

Continuous improvement mindset with a demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and implement changes proactively

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data insights and system recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences

Work schedule flexibility to collaborate with stakeholders in the U.S. and EMEA, including regular availability for meetings outside of standard local business hours

Ability to adjust working hours as needed to support critical projects, system implementations (e.g., Workday), and cross‑regional initiatives
