Ignatian Solidarity Network | Part-Time (20 hours per week / non-exempt)

Status: Part-time, non-exempt (20 hours per week)
Position Summary The Annual Giving and Donor Engagement Manager plays a central role in strengthening relationships with the Ignatian Solidarity Network’s community of individual supporters. This position ensures that donors experience consistent, meaningful solicitation and stewardship through timely communication, recognition, and engagement.
Working closely with the Director of Advancement, the Annual Giving and Donor Engagement Manager supports ISN’s individual giving program by coordinating donor stewardship, annual giving campaigns, and recurring giving initiatives. The role also maintains strong donor records and reporting systems that support strategic fundraising efforts.
This position collaborates closely with ISN’s Director of Communications, Director for Integrated Marketing and Digital Operations, and advancement consultants to ensure that donor communications, fundraising campaigns, and advancement data systems are coordinated effectively.
About the Ignatian Solidarity Network Ignatian Solidarity Network is a national social justice network inspired by the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Founded in 2004, ISN is a lay-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working in partnership with Jesuit universities, high schools, and parishes, along with many other Catholic institutions and social justice partners across the United States.
With more than 100 member institutions across 34 states, ISN engages students, educators, parishioners, alumni, and advocates through in-person programs, digital resources, and national gatherings, including the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice, the largest Catholic social justice conference in the United States.
Primary Responsibilities Individual Giving Programs
Planning and implementation of ISN’s annual fundraising appeal campaigns, including timelines, donor segmentation, and campaign execution across print and digital channels.
Prepare and manage donor lists and segmentation to support targeted outreach for individual giving campaigns.
Collaborate with communications and marketing staff to ensure effective campaign messaging, distribution, and performance tracking.
Manage the organization’s monthly giving program, including program growth, donor onboarding, communication, stewardship, and retention.
Donor Stewardship and Engagement
Coordinate timely donor acknowledgments across print and digital channels.
Support stewardship and engagement of small- and mid-level donors through regular communication and relationship-building.
Manage donor recognition across ISN publications, digital communications, and events.
Maintain consistent stewardship touchpoints that strengthen donor retention and engagement.
Advancement Systems and Reporting
Maintain accurate donor records in ISN’s constituent relationship management system.
Prepare donor lists, reports, and dashboards to support advancement planning and analysis.
Assist the Director of Advancement in tracking donor engagement and giving trends.
In-Person Donor Engagement
Assist with the facilitation of donor cultivation events in collaboration with the Director of Advancement.
Assist with donor engagement opportunities for major ISN events, such as the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice and Ignite: A Celebration of Justice.
Collaboration with Communications and Marketing
Collaborate with communications staff to ensure consistent messaging and storytelling across donor communications and fundraising appeals.
Work with the marketing and digital operations staff to maintain strong data integrity, donor segmentation, and effective use of advancement-related digital tools.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit development, donor relations, fundraising operations, or related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, social sciences, humanities, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience supporting annual giving campaigns, donor stewardship, or fundraising programs.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience working with donor databases or CRM systems.
Professional writing and editing skills appropriate for donor communications.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build relationships with donors and colleagues.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in donor records and communications.
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, particularly with communications and marketing staff.
Appreciation for ISN’s mission grounded in Catholic Social Teaching and Ignatian spirituality.
Familiarity with the Catholic Church and the network of institutions the Ignatian Solidarity Network partners with in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience coordinating annual appeals or recurring giving programs.
Experience organizing donor cultivation or fundraising events.
Familiarity with Salesforce.
Experience working in a Catholic, Jesuit, or faith-based nonprofit environment.
Location The ISN national office is located in Cleveland, Ohio, in the Northeast Ohio area. Candidates based in Northeast Ohio are strongly preferred, with the expectation of periodic in-person collaboration with staff at the national office and participation in organizational programs and events.
Physical Requirements Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other office locations and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Travel This position requires limited travel to support key Ignatian Solidarity Network programs and institutional partnership opportunities. The Institutional Partnerships & Sponsorship Manager will be expected to support sponsorship and exhibitor engagement related to the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice, ISN’s annual national gathering each fall, and may also assist with partner engagement connected to Ignite: A Celebration of Justice, ISN’s annual spring fundraising event. Additional travel may be identified based on organizational needs and the staff member’s capacity.
Compensation & Benefits This is a part-time position (20 hours per week). Seasonal schedule flexibility (ie. summer months, etc.). Starting hourly wage is $30 / hour.
