
Sales Manager - Isolator & Containment Technology

Due to continued growth and increasing market acceptance, Optima Machinery Corporation (Optima Pharma) is seeking an experienced, successful, and professional Sales Manager – Isolator & Containment Technology for North America.
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market penetration, and strengthening strategic customer engagement for isolator and containment technologies within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and CDMO sectors. This role has a dedicated focus on sterility testing, formulation and compounding isolators and sterility‑critical equipment used in QC microbiology laboratories and aseptic manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will serve as a sales leader, solution advisor, and key commercial contact for clients seeking high‑performance contamination control and aseptic processing solutions.

This position reports directly to the Director of Sales – Pharma of Optima Machinery Corporation.
Responsibilities
Drive sales growth and market expansion for laboratory isolator solutions, with an emphasis on sterility testing applications. Develop strategic account plans to identify, qualify, and close new business across pharma, biotech, and CDMO markets. Act as a technical consultant, supporting customers with workflow assessments, equipment configuration, and solution design. Present isolator technologies, contamination control concepts, and project proposals to technical and executive stakeholders. Coordinate closely with Optima Pharma technical sales, engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and pipeline management. Represent Optima Pharma at industry conferences, seminars, and professional events. Manage RFI/RFQ responses and timelines. Travel approximately 50% or more, predominantly within the U.S., with periodic international travel as needed. Requirements
Ideally, demonstrated success in technical capital equipment sales, preferably in isolators, sterile manufacturing technology, or contamination control systems. Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or a related field. Ideally, a strong understanding of sterility assurance, aseptic processing, microbiology QC workflows, and contamination control principles. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal relationship‑building skills. Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all organizational levels. Self‑motivated, well organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in parallel. Strong analytical thinking, along with clear, professional written and verbal communication skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with a consultative, customer‑focused sales approach. Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures and buying processes. Strong capability to define, implement, and operationalize effective sales strategies. Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a strong overall sales aptitude. Superior time‑management skills with attention to detail in scheduling, planning, and prioritization. Comfortable working in a home‑based environment and within an international matrix organization.
