
Director of Finance And Accounting

Our Client is seeking an experienced Director of Finance and Accounting to lead our financial and accounting functions. This key leadership role will oversee all aspects of financial management, billing operations, and accounting processes while providing critical strategic guidance to propel the firm’s growth and financial positioning.
Role--You dig into the work--this is an INDIVIDUAL Contributor role... but you bring a CFO’s mindset
Prepare monthly and annual Hours Reports, Break Even Analysis reports, and Profitability by Timekeeper reports for presentation to the Executive Shareholders.
Develop detailed annual budgets in collaboration with the Executive Shareholders and Chief Operating Officer.
Manage the entire client billing process daily and monthly, from pre-bill review and final invoice generation to extensive electronic billing submission and management with various vendors.
Chart the firm’s strategic growth plan and lead the journey!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
8+ years of progressive accounting experience in professional services; law firm experience strongly preferred.
Solid, demonstrable knowledge of GAAP.
Understanding of legal or other billable time, metrics and practice management.
Preferred: experience with Practice Master/TABS3 and billing software.
