Summary:
Promote and sell Cavotec Industry portfolio of products, services and engineering capabilities (for customization) to Mining OEMs and across all industry OEMs. Main focus on cable reels (motorized and spring), radio remote controls and connectors.
Responsibilities:
Achieve business goals as per Regional Sales Director & Global Product Managers guidelines
Meet assigned Sales Volume (Order Intake), Profitability (Contribution Margin) and strategic objectives.
Manage and develop strong and long‑lasting relationships with existing and new customers to facilitate business delivery.
Provide technical and commercial support to existing customers.
Read and Prepare technical and commercial tender/offer documentation
Support the team in project managing high value contracts
Articulate technology, product features, and benefits to both business and technical users
Identify all the relevant technical issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process
Understand and articulate to customers/prospects the competitive advantages/differentiation feature of Cavotec technology vs competitors.
Develop relationships with our manufacturing organization and engineering team to
capture and translate voice of customer feedback and market trends, so we can design the most optimum solutions for our customers.
Negotiate with customers regarding price, schedule, terms and conditions and other commercial issues. Create operating agreements for key accounts including Stocking agreements, Production agreements and Engineering Support.
Regularly update the CRM (Salesforce) with leads, customer information / insights, funnel, and opportunity information.
Utilize the CRM system to provide insight on successful sales techniques, market intelligence, lead generation and target markets/customers.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, or Electrical)
At least 5 years of professional experience in commercial roles in the mining and tunneling industry
Proven track record in selling technical products – such as motorized or spring cable reels, connectors, radio remote controls, or other industrial controls – to OEMs, end‑users, or service providers is a strong advantage.
Ability to work independently with great responsibility
Hunter mentality, comfortable with (sometimes) a long sales cycle; strong sales process management skills for customized products and equipment.
Fluent in English (reading, written and spoken); Spanish or Portuguese would be a plus.
Authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
Mobility Requirements:
Domestic USA travel is required (at least 50%).
International travel required 10‑15%
Passport holder is essential
Territory: Americas with strong focus in the United States and Canada.
The Americas territory includes North, Central and South America.
Location:
Candidates may reside in Wisconsin, Illinois, or Michigan; other Midwestern states are also considered.
