Position Overview Hexagon is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to support our Mold & Die software portfolio across the East Coast. This role bridges the gap between sales and engineering, providing deep technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.
You will partner closely with account managers to drive revenue growth by demonstrating the value of Hexagon's CAM solutions (including VISI, WORKNC, and related technologies) to mold makers, tool shops, and precision manufacturers.
Job Responsibilities
Partner with sales teams to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the mold & die segment
Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof‑of‑concept projects to prospective customers
Analyze customer manufacturing workflows and recommend optimized solutions using Hexagon software
Support RFP/RFQ responses with detailed technical input and solution design
Act as a subject matter expert on mold & die machining strategies, including 3‑axis and 5‑axis milling
Collaborate with product, marketing, and application engineering teams to align solutions with market needs
Maintain knowledge of competitive CAM solutions and industry trends
Travel as needed (typically 25‑50%) to customer sites, trade shows, and internal meetings
Qualifications Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in CAM software, CNC programming, or mold & die manufacturing
Strong expertise in toolpath strategies, high‑speed machining, and surface finishing
Hands‑on experience with CAM platforms such as WORKNC, VISI, Mastercam, NX CAM, hyperMILL, or similar
Proven ability to present technical concepts to both engineers and executive stakeholders
Experience supporting or working within a technical sales or applications engineering role
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Experience specifically in mold, die, or tooling environments (injection molds, progressive dies, etc.)
Familiarity with Hexagon software solutions (VISI, WORKNC, EDGECAM, ESPRIT)
Understanding of CAD workflows and integration with CAM systems
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
