The Technology Director, Technology & Analytics serves as a strategic and operational leader across a leading OEM Dealer Digital program's technology ecosystem. This role provides stability and thoughtful evolution across Salesforce, automation bots, Tableau reporting, and emerging AI capabilities. The role builds on an established foundation while ensuring platforms continue to scale with quality, governance, and performance. Core Technology Responsibilities

Salesforce Platform Ownership

Serve as executive owner of the Salesforce ecosystem supporting approximately 140 users, including CRM, dealer workflows, and client-facing reporting.

Define and maintain the Salesforce roadmap, governance standards, and adoption management.

Ensure platform stability, scalability, data integrity, and audit readiness.

Automation, Reporting & Analytics

Oversee automation bots reviewing dealer websites.

Own Tableau reporting environments supporting field and program performance.

Ensure consistent, reliable, and client-ready reporting across all analytics outputs.

Data Story Telling & Executive Communication

Translate complex data, analytics, and system performance into clear, concise, and actionable insights for executive leadership

Synthesize inputs across Salesforce, automation, Tableau, and AI initiatives into cohesive narratives that support strategic decision-making

Tailor communications to executive and client audiences, balancing technical accuracy with business relevance

Ensure executive-level materials (dashboards, QBR content, etc) clearly articulate impact, outcome, and ROI

AI & Advanced Analytics Ownership

Lead AI enablement initiatives and related use cases.

Evaluate, operationalize, and scale AI capabilities where value is demonstrated.

Ensure AI outputs are explainable, governed, and embedded into operational platforms.

Governance & Quality

Maintain and enhance structured QA, release management, and validation standards.

Ensure data reliability, audit readiness, and deployment discipline.

Execution & Throughput

Directly prioritize and manage CRM and Data & Analytics workstreams.

Translate business requirements into deployed solutions with speed and quality.

Remain hands-on in configuration, reporting, and system architecture as needed.

Vendor & Program Accountability

Serve as the primary technology accountability partner.

Proactively identify and address execution gaps.

Provide clear visibility into technology performance, delivery standards, and outcomes.

Roadmap & Optimization

Optimize the existing Salesforce, automation, and Tableau stack.

Evaluate improvement opportunities and new platforms where appropriate.

Maintain a documented technology roadmap aligned to client priorities.

Executive Reporting

Deliver quarterly technology and analytics updates to client executive leadership.

Communicate system health, adoption, enhancement velocity, and ROI.

Translate technical performance into clear business impact.

The Ideal Candidate

This is a hands-on technology leadership role combining platform ownership with direct people leadership. The Technology Director operates as a player-coach, leading a team of four (CRM Lead and Data & Analytics Lead among them) while remaining deeply engaged in execution. The role oversees and prioritizes team workloads, provides technical guidance and mentorship, and stays close enough to the work to ensure quality, responsiveness, and continuity as the program scales. This leader balances governance and execution, increasing throughput without sacrificing platform integrity or client confidence. "I am looking for a diplomatic leader who can synthesize differing opinions into a unified strategy. This role requires more than just technology and project management; it requires professional gravitas to counsel OEM executives and the operational discipline to keep diverse delivery initiatives on track. You must be passionate about the future of digital automotive retail and possess the communication skills to inspire both your team and your client." This position has a starting salary range of $130,000 to $150,000 USD per year. This is the range we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee's pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
