This Opportunity As an EY SAP Technology Presales, you directly help EY and clients with highly efficient, optimised and precise pursuit proposals that leverage EY’s technology assets and capabilities to transform and manage their business.
Key Responsibilities
Harvest requirements from clients, translate them into solutions that meet agreed objectives, and lead the technology aspect of pursuit teams.
Provide guidance for solution & pursuit definition, presales thought leadership, and assess technical delivery possibilities & costs for critical business solutions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Product Owners, Business Owners, EY SAP Delivery Teams, and Global Delivery Services to envision, design, and develop pursuit responses.
Essential Functions
Presales / Pursuit Architecture & Solutioning for mid to large‑scale pursuits.
Establish presales standards, guidelines, and procedures to increase success rates of client pursuits.
Hands‑on creation of end‑to‑end solution architecture aligned with clients’ enterprise architecture and IT roadmaps.
Shape RFP responses and provide incisive insights from technical experience.
Identify and mitigate technology gaps, propose innovative solutions, and reduce costs through expertise in EY’s technical & business architecture.
Co‑ordinate with delivery and competence centre teams to ensure implemented solutions adhere to approved designs throughout the application life cycle.
Coach business owners and pursuit leads on technology presales throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
Document architecture, roadmaps, and ensure compliance with standards and available reference models.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Knowledge of industry solutions and products.
Strong technical background with experience in deal development, architecture, and strategy.
Experience on large‑scale, multi‑technology, data, and analytics deals.
Comprehensive expertise in applications, infrastructure, digital, and security.
Technical, data, application, and integration architecture experience.
RFP response skills and solution write‑up capabilities.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Strong business acumen and ability to build lasting stakeholder relationships.
Proactive risk identification, mitigation, and avoidance strategy development.
Awareness of portfolio management principles, tools, and techniques.
Organised, methodical, and detail‑oriented approach.
Leadership, negotiation, and influence skills to drive change.
Preferred Background (Ideally)
Influence without authority in an individual contributor role.
Experience with offshore/onsite working models across multiple geographies and cultures.
Agile Delivery and DevOps certifications or experience preferred.
TOGAF or IASA architectural certifications desirable.
ITIL V3/V4 service‑management framework knowledge advantageous.
Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
15+ years of technology, business development, and thought leadership experience.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $138,200 to $266,000 (US). Regional variations apply.
