
Territory Sales Manager - Chicagoland

As a Territory Sales Manager - Chicagoland, your mission is to drive sales growth for our business by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
Engage in face-to-face and remote sales to new customers, as well as cross/up/repeat sales to existing customers.
Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and/or solutions.
Deliver sales presentations and conduct product demonstrations.
Develop medium to long-term sales plans and prepare strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships with your targeted customers.
Ensure successful implementation of sales strategies by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs.

Degree Level – A four-year degree in business, marketing, or engineering, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of three years of relevant industrial sales experience is required, preferably within the vacuum industry.
Knowledge Areas:
Understanding the principles of value-based selling in the equipment business
Strong technical knowledge and the ability to quickly adapt to new products and technological developments
Experience working in an industrial environment, ideally with an engineering background
Clear understanding of effective territory management
Proficient sales techniques and skills
Critical Skills:
Demonstrate courage and integrity
Exhibit strong commitment to customer satisfaction
Drive to achieve results
Ability to manage pressure and setbacks while continuously developing
Strong interest in market trends and competitive landscape
Proactive attitude and openness to new ideas
Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager, Business Line Manager, and other sales engineers
Build and maintain relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate persuasively
Awareness and control of body language
Other Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Confidence in engaging with end customers
Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 10% local travel and up to 50% overnight travel)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
