Job Description
As a Senior Director, Strategy here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in driving growth for owning and executing strategic plans that focus on growth, profitability, and market expansion across strategic areas of focus. The strategic plan that you develop will be informed by an understanding of market trends, competitive intelligence, business needs, GTM models, and more. This role engages with the senior-most leadership of the business and will require strategic vision, leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex business environments to drive success.
You will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer of Building Automation and will work out of our Atlanta, GA location on a hybrid work schedule.
THE BUSINESS UNIT Honeywell Building Automation (BA) is a leading global provider of products, software, solutions, and technologies that enable building owners and occupants to ensure their facilities are safe, energy efficient, sustainable, and productive. BA products and services include advanced software applications for building control and optimization; sensors, switches, control systems, and instruments for energy management; access control; video surveillance; fire products; and installation, maintenance, and upgrades of systems. Responsibilities
Develop and own 3–5 year strategic plans building on a strong foundation to deliver above expectations.
Translate 3–5 year strategy into executable operating plans.
Work closely with VPGMs to expand their core businesses, grow into adjacent spaces, and refine GTM models to drive growth.
Drive the growth of critical initiatives that are designed to double down into priority verticals and establish a long‑term roadmap.
Develop frameworks to support identification, incubation, and assessment of critical growth initiatives to align with business goals.
Identify and evaluate organic growth strategies by business and geography.
Identify and evaluate inorganic growth strategies including acquisitions, alliances, licensing, and partnership opportunities linked to the strategic plan.
Conduct fact‑based analysis of market trends; competitive data; technology advancements; and customer needs assessment and new product developments.
Provide near‑term tactical support to develop and deliver monthly reporting on key initiatives and strategy.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
Develop compelling written communications (white papers, PowerPoint) to gain alignment and approval from the C‑suite.
Qualifications
Minimum of 12 + years of experience in strategic planning, consulting, growth strategy, or related roles.
Ability to think strategically and excellent problem‑solving skills.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
