We are seeking a talented individual to join our

Workplace Education

team at

Mercer, a Marsh business.

This role can be based in

Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, Denver, Houston, or Tampa

and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. As a

Retirement Education Specialist

and part of the Workplace Education Team, you will be educating plan sponsor employees on their 401(k) plan to achieve client desired outcomes, i.e. increase participation, boost deferrals, and optimize asset allocation. You will work directly with external clients as well as internal partners to facilitate group webinars and in person group sessions, translating plan and investment concepts into actionable financial wellness strategies. The role covers clients using Mercer’s 3(16) and 3(38) outsourced solutions including the Pooled Employer Plan (PEP) as well as 3(21) advisory services, so the role interacts with various internal groups such as client service managers, consultants and sales teams. We will count on you to:

Deliver onsite and virtual group education meetings to 401(k) retirement plan participants Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external teams to organize and host education sessions Customize and maintain PowerPoint presentations, scripts, and speaker notes aligned with plan features and industry standards Stay current on retirement and financial topics to ensure accurate and effective presentations What you need to have:

3-5 years of experience in 401(k) or financial services Knowledge of retirement plans, legislation, and investment principles Ability to travel to client sites up to 60-75% annually (this will likely be less during onboarding and then will ramp up) Strong relationship management skills to build rapport with plan participants and plan sponsors Strong public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills High attention to detail What makes you stand out?
