Overview
As a Manager II on the Sales Compensation team, you will lead the Sales Compensation team within Corporate Finance. You will work with our Chief Revenue Officer (Head of Sales) and Sales/Finance leaders to monitor business health, identify underlying trends and make strategic business decisions. In this role, you will lead the global sales incentive program, which impacts 850+ sellers and is a central part of how Pinterest executes its global strategy. You will work with other teams across Pinterest (Sales Strategy & Operations, Sales Finance, Accounting, IT, Internal Audit, Human Resources and Compensation) as well as executives (CRO, CFO, VP Finance) to drive clarity around sales performance and manage the variable compensation structure to deliver on key strategic objectives. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Corporate Finance. What you’ll do Manage the Sales Compensation team (2 ICs) Lead the end-to-end delivery of the sales incentive program for the global sales organization to meet key sales and growth objectives Maintain and build trusting relationships with cross-functional partners (SS&O, Sales Finance, HR, compensation) Partner with Sales and Strategic Operations to identify changes that optimize sales compensation structures Consolidate seller data (revenue attainment, OKR goals, attrition, etc.) and peer benchmark data into insights to inform plan design, compensation structure, and seller behaviors Recommend sales compensation plan design changes to CRO and Sales Leadership on a quarterly basis Regularly review peer benchmarks for sales compensation metrics and processes to ensure alignment with best practices Review monthly and quarterly accruals and payouts, and related SOX controls Provide guidance on monthly sales commissions forecast, coordinating inputs from Sales Finance Director and Headcount forecast from Strategic Finance partners Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or 5+ years in corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, or related fields Experience designing variable compensation plan structures for a global sales organization Executive-level communication and presentation skills (Google Slides) Financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles People management experience Relocation and Work Model This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. In-Office Requirement Work style is flexible with in-person collaboration typically quarterly; role can be located anywhere in the country US based applicants only Salary and Benefits Salary: $118,543—$244,059 USD. The position is eligible for equity. Final salary is based on location, travel, prior experience, and skills.
