Overview The Survey Crew Chief is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. Plans and develops projects concerned with unique or controversial problems which may have an important effect on major company projects. While this individual is highly accomplished technically, the position does not involve significant management responsibility.

Pay Range: $76,000-118,000
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supervises and runs survey crew operations.
Performs ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Calculate Plats, Perform Boundary and Lot Splits.
Performs As-built Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking and Transportation projects with ODOT guidelines.
Performs record search at recorder's offices and government entities.
Prepares complex calculations, designs, specifications and/or reports for checking and reviewing by others.
Checks routine calculations, designs, specifications and/or reports prepared by others.
Directs technicians and/or drafters assigned to the department.
Coordinates all aspects of project document completion within the company and externally with clients and other design professionals.
Directs and assists co-workers with performing field measurements.
Serves as Project Engineer/Surveyor on complex, single-discipline projects, and complex multi-discipline projects.
Works with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to the building code is required.
Prepares or reviews construction budgets based on experience and scope of project.
Performs construction observation of others on complex projects.
Directs construction observation of others on routine projects.
Maintains and adheres to QA/QC procedures/note taking and maintaining office and field project material.
May exercise some supervision over staff assigned a Project.
Minimum Qualifications
2-5 years of land surveying experience in charge of field crews for all aspects of surveying and types of surveys required.
Ohio PE, PS License preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Surveying or other related degree with specialization in the respective department preferred.
AutoCAD and Civil3D Experience is a plus.
