The Divisional Sales Director is responsible for driving occupancy and census growth across an assigned region by owning sales performance and ensuring disciplined execution of Bickford’s sales strategy. This role partners closely with Executive Directors, Divisional leadership, and Family Advocates (FAs) to deliver measurable results aligned with Bickford’s Balanced Scorecard. While not a direct supervisor, this role operates with clear accountability for Divisional sales outcomes, influencing performance and reinforcing expectations that drive both results (49%) and behaviors aligned with Bickford’s Core Values (51%).

Responsibilities & Qualifications Responsibilities: Ownership of Occupancy & Sales Outcomes

Own Divisional occupancy performance and census growth across all assigned branches.

Drive accountability to occupancy targets as outlined in the Balanced Scorecard.

Identify performance gaps and take immediate action to improve inquiry generation, tours, and move-ins.

Ensure consistent focus on conversion at every stage of the sales funnel.

Balanced Scorecard Execution (49/51)

Reinforce 49% results (performance metrics) and 51% behaviors (Core Values).

Partner with Executive Directors to ensure FAs deliver both results and behaviors.

Utilize sales performance data in assessments and performance conversations.

Data-Driven Sales Performance

Monitor inquiries, tours, conversions, and occupancy targets.

Translate data into actionable strategies.

Identify trends and adjust strategy in real time.

Family Advocate (FA) Effectiveness

Drive accountability for follow-up, CRM usage, and relationship-based selling.

Reinforce expectations that FAs drive occupancy outcomes.

Sales Strategy & Market Growth

Develop Divisional strategies to increase market share.

Strengthen referral pipelines and outreach efforts.

Evaluate competitive positioning.

Branch & Divisional Partnership

Align sales with operational readiness and resident experience.

Collaborate on high-impact initiatives.

Support marketing events and campaigns.

Performance Accountability & Influence

Drive a culture of accountability and urgency.

Influence performance without direct authority.

Lead improvement efforts in underperforming areas.

Qualifications: Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience

5+ years of senior living sales experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong understanding of senior living sales processes.

Ability to connect activity to financial outcomes.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Ability to travel within the region.

Working Conditions

Frequent travel required.

Occasional evenings/weekends for events.

A valid driver’s license and a driving record that is consistent with Bickford’s insurance carrier guidelines is required for this position.
