Job Title & Location Delivery Director – Remote in USA (US East Coast or Central Time Zone)

Role Overview The Director of Engineering - P&R Delivery is a senior technology and delivery leader responsible for end‑to‑end engineering execution across multiple client accounts. This leader ensures high‑quality delivery, operational excellence, proactive client engagement, and consistent growth of Ascendion’s strategic footprint within the P&R domain. You will lead cross‑functional engineering teams, drive solution excellence, and partner closely with P&R clients to shape engineering and modernization roadmaps aligned with their business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership

Oversee engineering delivery across multiple accounts, ensuring projects meet scope, quality, timeline, and financial targets.

Establish and enforce delivery best practices, quality standards, and engineering governance frameworks.

Drive proactive risk identification, mitigation planning, and escalation management.

Leverage AI tools and agentic workflows to improve SDLC efficiency across estimation, development, code quality, QA, and DevSecOps.

Implement Ascendion’s delivery frameworks and AI‑augmented engineering accelerators to boost velocity, quality, and automation.

Client Management & Growth

Serve as a trusted technology advisor to clients, engaging with VP+ stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.

Partner with account leadership to define multi‑year product and platform modernization roadmaps.

Identify account growth opportunities and support pre‑sales through solution architecture, estimation, and proposal creation.

Drive customer satisfaction, transparency, and long‑term account health through consistent high‑performance delivery.

Engineering & Technical Leadership

Guide engineering teams across product development, cloud modernization, data engineering, AI/ML, and platform engineering.

Provide architectural oversight and participate in solution reviews to ensure scalability, reliability, and technical soundness.

Drive engineering innovation through Ascendion accelerators, automation, reusable components.

Champion a culture of continuous improvement, code quality, DevSecOps maturity, observability, and measurable engineering excellence.

Operational Excellence

Manage delivery P&L, forecasting, utilization, staffing, and operational KPIs across assigned accounts.

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, and regulatory requirements relevant to operations (e.g., PCI, privacy, omnichannel integration).

Enhance cross‑functional collaboration across product, QA, DevOps, architecture, and design teams to ensure seamless delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of delivering complex, large‑scale engineering programs.

Experience in client management, solution architecture, and pre‑sales support.

Desired Qualifications

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience in the P&R industries (Retail, Consumer Goods, Services, Travel).

Certifications in Agile, DevOps, or related methodologies.

Experience with AI/ML technologies and engineering accelerators.

Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 and $200,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
