Base Pay Range:
$65.00/hr - $75.00/hr
They are responsible for all Client’s Asset Management, including Sales & Use Tax. The department is working to identify and implement Sales & Use Tax software. Recent changes in work streams have created a need for someone to assist with Sales and Use Tax return filings and associated responsibilities to fill a gap until such time as the software program is operational.
Responsibilities
Processes all online and paper filings for US states and localities
Ensure final return copies are saved in the appropriate Sales & Use Tax folders
Assemble vouchers/checks for mailing
Initiate direct debits with state taxing authorities
Query information from PeopleSoft
Establish state payment logins and/or registrations (if applicable)
Tax research in CCH
Voucher research in PeopleSoft and Reflex
Branch and Location research in PeopleSoft
Assist with Asset Management duties as needed
Scans and sorts all mail/redirects all emails
Responds to FA inquiries related to Sales & Use Tax certificates
Qualifications
Accounting degree and 3+ years of accounting experience, which includes tax experience
CPA is preferred but not required
Experience working with a lot of different tax forms and vouchers
Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and formulas
Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with team members
Strong organizational skills
