Your Impact Is Vital As Vice President, Strategic Growth, you will lead the enterprise strategy to expand Vitalant’s donor base and optimize blood collection across fixed and mobile platforms. This role is responsible for driving sustainable growth through donor acquisition, retention, and engagement initiatives, while advancing innovative approaches to market expansion and lead generation.
Serving as the senior owner of growth initiatives, you will partner closely with Marketing, Donor Services, Real Estate, and executive leadership to ensure alignment, scalability, and measurable outcomes. Your leadership will directly shape how Vitalant enters new markets, enhances donor experiences, and positions the organization for long‑term success.
What You’ll Do Enterprise Growth Strategy
Lead the development and execution of Vitalant’s enterprise growth strategy to expand the donor base and optimize blood collection across fixed and mobile platforms.
Establish and prioritize strategic objectives for donor acquisition, retention, and engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and measurable impact.
Drive innovation and scalability across growth programs to support long‑term sustainability.
Market Expansion & Innovation
Direct enterprise‑level evaluations and strategic planning for new market entry and emerging service models, including pilot and proof‑of‑concept initiatives that reflect local community needs and donor access considerations.
Guide expansion of fixed sites, mobile territories, and programs focused on first‑time and re‑engaged donors.
Influence key real estate decisions, including donor center refresh schedules and lease renewals, to optimize production and enhance donor experience.
Data‑Driven Planning & Performance
Define, monitor, and report on enterprise growth targets and key performance indicators related to donor acquisition and blood drive coordination.
Leverage market analytics, forecasting models, and performance data to inform strategic planning, resource allocation, and site selection.
Translate insights into actionable strategies that improve donor engagement and collection outcomes.
Cross‑Functional & Executive Collaboration
Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Donor Services, Real Estate, and executive leadership to drive adoption and execution of growth initiatives.
Represent the growth function on enterprise councils and cross‑functional initiatives.
Foster accountability and collaboration to ensure cohesive, organization‑wide execution of strategic priorities.
Leadership & Organizational Development
Lead, mentor, and develop leaders at multiple levels, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
Champion succession planning and leadership development to support long‑term organizational growth.
Promote enterprise thinking, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
Financial Stewardship & Compliance
Oversee strategic resource allocation and financial stewardship to support growth priorities.
Govern annual budget development, ensuring efficient use of resources and strong return on investment.
Ensure all initiatives comply with internal SOPs and external regulatory requirements.
Uphold and elevate donor engagement, quality, and customer experience standards across all channels.

Ten years related sales or business development experience required. To include:
Six years leadership experience required.
Experience working in donor services operations (field donor recruitment, planning and scheduling (previously known as business resources), or donor care/collections required.
Six years sales, strategic planning, marketing, and growth initiatives experience required.
Skills / Abilities
Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must have analytical, statistical, personal organization, and problem‑solving skills.
Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.
