Advisory & Planning Marketing Intern – Summer 2026
Location: Portland, OR (also Seattle, WA, Kansas City, MO, Washington DC, New York, NY). 12‑week internship, starting May 18, 2026 (flexible start date).
WSP Summer Internship Program: gain hands‑on experience with senior staff and real projects.
Your Impact
Support development of content for WSP proposals and marketing deliverables.
Collaborate with the Strategic Growth Team, including marketing consultants and graphic designers.
Author proposals and marketing content, simplifying technical information while telling our story.
Provide copy‑editing, proofreading, and review support for proposals and collateral.
Gather information through research, statistical reports, and interviews with technical staff to write content.
Apply new technologies and innovations for proposals and presentations, including creative media and digital tools.
Complete training on assigned tasks.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company resources and conduct.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Required Qualifications
Actively enrolled in an accredited Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later.
Must be 18 or older.
Interest in Marketing or Communications, strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work.
Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with engineering and non‑engineering audiences.
Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers on executive projects.
Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, spreadsheets, and related tools.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and compliance with WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications software.
Experience with event management or coordination.
Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.
Compensation Expected salary (all locations): $21.74 – $30.53 per hour.
