We are currently hiring a Development Director in Utica, NY. The Director will generate revenue for our Heart Walk and Go Red for Women fundraising campaigns. You will be on a 2‑person team overseeing these campaigns, engaging with the Executive Leadership Committees and volunteer leaders. The position is home‑office based in the Utica area, with daily local travel within the territory and frequent field work.

Our fast‑paced sales‑type environment focuses on driving revenue to support our mission. In addition to a base salary, you have the opportunity to earn an incentive of up to 25% of your base pay, based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers. Responsibilities

Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorship and individual donations and achieving revenue goals through relationship building.

Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors by conducting research that aligns with campaign goals and the Association’s mission.

Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.

Recruit and lead executive volunteer leadership, volunteer committees, and day‑of‑the‑event volunteers.

Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate team members to fundraise.

Coordinate the event auction, including leading a committee of volunteers to solicit auction items and prepare fundraising packages.

Lead and engage new individual membership for our Cor Vitae giving society in partnership with other fundraising staff, including planning and implementing regular engagement events.

Plan and implement events in collaboration with internal and external partners.

Work with a Communications Director to support and promote campaign communication plans.

Qualifications

3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related fields.

University or college degree or equivalent experience.

Ability to travel locally up to 75% of the time and occasionally for overnight trips; reliable transportation is required.

Ability to lift and/or move large objects with the expectation that heavier items may need to be broken down or additional assistance requested.

Basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office.

Preferred experience includes:

Handling and cultivating high‑level leaders at the C‑Suite level.

Knowledge of corporate and community networks.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range: $59,700 to $74,000, commensurate with experience.

Potential incentive of up to 25% of base pay for meeting certain targets.
