Overview Traveling Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Location:

CA Travel Required

Salary:

Up to $145,000 base (DOE) + benefits

Responsibilities

Oversee all on-site construction activities from project start through completion

Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure efficient workflow

Maintain and enforce strict adherence to safety policies and procedures

Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules and look-ahead plans

Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, architects, and engineers

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with plans/specifications

Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays proactively

Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation

Ensure projects stay on budget and assist with cost control efforts

Lead site meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction

Proven experience managing ground-up commercial projects (e.g., retail, multifamily, healthcare, office, etc.)

Willingness and ability to travel extensively

Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety regulations

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)

OSHA 30 certification preferred
