Job Summary The Regional Sales Manager – North Texas will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with General Contractors, Developers, Consultants, and Property Owners throughout the North Texas market. Through both established and newly developed relationships, the Regional Sales Manager will identify and influence projects across various stages of development within the Texas marketplace.

Primary Focus Large-scale projects (1 million+ square feet) within the North Texas region. The mission is to position Distech Controls as the enabling technology platform that ensures buildings are future‑ready and aligned with Acuity’s Tier 3 and Tier 4 solutions.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with Consultants, General Contractors, Developers, and Property Owners.

Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with internal support, service, and management teams to achieve growth objectives.

Promote Distech Controls within the consulting engineering and architectural communities.

Actively participate in local professional organizations and industry events.

Support project management activities as required.

Prepare estimates and develop proposals.

Maintain accurate tracking of leads and opportunities within the CRM system.

Accountabilities and Performance Measures

Achieve assigned sales quotas within designated accounts.

Meet or exceed profitability targets.

Develop and execute client account plans aligned with company standards.

Maintain high client satisfaction ratings.

Complete required training and professional development objectives within designated timeframes.

Demonstrate the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels—from ownership and executive leadership to sales and technical teams.

Exhibit the capacity to assume roles of increasing responsibility and complexity over time.

Balance strategic thinking and innovation with disciplined execution.

Establish a reputation for delivering innovative solutions in complex markets while driving measurable revenue and market share growth.

Qualifications

Current residence in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area with strong knowledge of the local market; established relationships with General Contractors, Consultants, and Developers preferred.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation Systems sales management.

Demonstrated success in business‑to‑business sales, partnering with Engineers and Architects.

Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Extensive experience navigating all levels of the construction lifecycle (designers, manufacturers, engineering firms, general contractors, etc.).

Experience working for a manufacturer of technically complex controls products distributed through multiple channels.

Travel Requirements Travel required: 41‑60%.

Valid passport required.

May require maintenance of a home‑based office.

Compensation and Benefits The range for this position is $104,200.00 to $225,500.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location. Acuity offers generous benefits including health care, dental coverage, vision plans, 401(k) benefits, and commissions/incentive compensation depending on the role.
