SUMMARY OF POSITION The Senior Designer is an integral member of the Creative Department, responsible for creating immersive experiences across in‑person and digital channels for a range of brands. Their role involves driving the design process, collaborating with strategists and designers, and ensuring client needs are met with premium design ideas and creative solutions. The Senior Designer will contribute to 360 marketing campaigns, developing art direction and new branding, creating still and motion graphics, driving production art, and participating in all aspects of the creative process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Concepting: Offer strategic design solutions and create working drawings, storyboards, layouts, mood boards, and mockups to evaluate and present ideas in initial project phases.
Design: Generate high-quality designs across digital and experiential platforms; create 2D concepts to support strategies; manage presentation documents, digital assets, print assets, and other creative components.
Presentation: Develop presentation skills by participating in internal and client presentations and conversations.
Internal Communication: Coordinate with internal teams leading up to and during activations to ensure approved creative materials are delivered on time while maintaining consistency and quality.
External Communication: Coordinate with vendors, printers, contractors, freelancers, and contract creatives to streamline design deliverables.
Project & Time Management: Work with cross‑functional teams to establish and manage creative deliverable timelines for high‑quality output.
Inspire: Seek out inspiration and share insights to educate and motivate internal teams.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Product Design, or a similar discipline.
EXPERIENCE
4+ years of experience as a designer creating graphic designs, printed assets, environmental branding, and digital assets (websites, banner ads, marketing emails, social media content, apps, etc.).
Strong portfolio demonstrating design for both digital and physical applications.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
2D Design: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.); knowledge of print file preparation, printing techniques, and materials.
Motion Graphics & Video Editing: Expertise in After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Premiere, or similar animation and editing software.
Social Media & Influencer: Understanding of ideation, development, and deployment of content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Presentation: Skillful use of Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Docs/Slides.
OTHER QUALITIES AND SKILLS
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Ability to articulate design solutions to team members and clients effectively.
Translate strategic vision into tangible project design deliverables that meet project needs and garner approvals.
Multi‑task across multiple projects and resources.
Strong work ethic and adaptability to fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
Make smart decisions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Team‑player mindset, bringing creative momentum to projects.
High energy, stamina, and flexibility to work non‑traditional hours, including nights and weekends.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
COMPENSATION RANGE $80,000 - $120,000 annually. Pay is determined based on experience, skills, certifications, market pay, and demand.
