About the Role As a Technical Solutions Consultant within the Sales Organization, you will serve as the subject‑matter expert on Office Ally's product suite, guiding customers through the technical aspects of our solutions and supporting the sales team in identifying and implementing the right solutions for each client's needs.
This role combines deep product knowledge, industry expertise, and technical consulting to drive successful business outcomes and long‑term client partnerships. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including Sales, Product, Engineering, and Security—to ensure a seamless sales process from discovery through post‑sales support.
In addition, you will play a key role in supporting and contributing to Request for Proposal (RFP) and security questionnaire responses, translating technical capabilities into clear, compelling, and compliant answers that support deal progression and win rates.
This is a hybrid role with a preference for the Lehi, UT office. Candidates based near our other office locations (Brentwood, TN; Vancouver, WA; or San Antonio, TX) are encouraged to apply. Fully remote work may be considered for candidates with the right experience.
What You'll Do Pre‑Sales Consultation & Solution Design:
Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team, providing expert knowledge of Office Ally's healthcare technology solutions.
Engage in technical discovery sessions to fully understand customer needs, business challenges, and technical environments.
Develop and present customized solution designs that address specific client workflows, integration requirements, and healthcare compliance concerns (e.g., HIPAA).
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Act as the internal and external Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Office Ally products, staying up to date with industry trends, product updates, and regulatory changes.
Provide in‑depth product demonstrations, addressing technical questions and ensuring alignment with customer objectives.
Offer strategic guidance on the best practices for integrating Office Ally solutions with existing healthcare systems (e.g., EHRs, billing software, clearinghouses).
Technical Support During Sales Cycle:
Collaborate with the sales team to respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and RFIs (Requests for Information), ensuring all technical aspects of the proposal are clearly addressed.
Assist in building detailed solution proposals and provide input on pricing structures related to custom technical requirements.
Conduct technical assessments and risk analysis for prospective clients, recommending implementation strategies that align with both business and technical goals.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Partner with product management, engineering, and implementation teams to influence product development based on client feedback and market demands.
Collaborate with marketing to develop technical sales collateral, white papers, and case studies that showcase the value of Office Ally's solutions.
Act as the liaison between the client and internal teams during product launches and custom solution deployments, ensuring that technical specifications are met.
Assist in creating sales enablement materials.
Post‑Sales Engagement:
Provide technical leadership during solution deployment, ensuring that clients are set up for long‑term success with Office Ally's products.
Offer ongoing technical consulting to client's post‑sale, supporting adoption, expansion, and optimization of Office Ally solutions within their environment.
Lead training sessions to ensure that both clients and internal teams understand the full capabilities of the solutions implemented.
Industry Knowledge and Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed of industry developments, healthcare technology trends, and regulatory changes that may impact product implementation or sales strategies.
Continuously improve and refine sales strategies and technical consulting practices to align with evolving customer needs and industry standards.
RFP Ownership & Support:
Act as the technical subject‑matter expert for RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, ensuring accurate and compliant responses.
Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, Security, and Legal to develop and validate technical content.
Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, customer‑friendly, value‑driven responses.
Contribute to and maintain a central RFP response library with standardized answers and supporting documentation.
Identify risks, gaps, and clarification needs within RFPs and recommend appropriate solution positioning.
Support RFP timelines and review cycles to ensure high‑quality, on‑time submissions.
Provide feedback to internal teams on recurring RFP themes, competitive insights, and customer requirements.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field or years of experience in the field.
10+ years of experience in a technical consulting, solution engineering, or SME role within the healthcare technology industry.
Expertise in healthcare software, including clearinghouse operations or RCM.
In‑depth knowledge of healthcare standards (HIPAA, HL7, ANSI X12) and experience in integrating with external systems.
Exceptional problem‑solving skills and the ability to think strategically about technical solutions.
Proven ability to build relationships and influence decision‑makers at all levels of a client organization.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Experience with API integration, data migration, and technical troubleshooting.
Ability to travel as required (if applicable).
Travel Requirements
