Director of Compensation
to lead the design, governance, and execution of compensation programs for a large-scale healthcare organization supporting over 20,000 teammates. In this high-impact role, you will act as the architect of our pay structures, overseeing base pay, short-term incentives (STI), and executive compensation. Operating within a sophisticated enterprise model, you will ensure our compensation frameworks remain market‑competitive and credible while maintaining the flexibility needed for a diverse, multi‑site workforce. and lead a talented team of professionals to drive organizational effectiveness and leadership retention. Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Architecture:
Own the development of market‑informed pay structures and multi‑year implementation plans. Evolve the organizational job architecture (families, levels, and role definitions) to serve as a durable backbone for career progression and workforce planning. Governance & Compliance:
Establish approval matrices and documentation standards to ensure transparency and repeatability. Lead pay transparency initiatives and ensure full compliance with all state and federal regulations. Executive Compensation:
Partner with Finance, Legal, and external advisors to manage executive compensation activities, ensuring rigorous controls and alignment with enterprise standards. Business Advisory:
Serve as a senior advisor to HR Business Partners and Executive Leadership, providing data‑grounded guidance on complex compensation decisions and workforce cost modeling. Leadership:
Directly manage and coach a team of 3–5 compensation professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and high performance. Required Skills/Education
Experience:
8+ years of progressive compensation experience within a large, complex corporate environment. Leadership:
5+ years of experience managing people, including leading senior‑level professionals or managers. Technical Expertise:
Proven track record in designing and stabilizing large‑scale compensation programs and managing executive compensation governance. Analytical Skills:
Strong ability to model financial scenarios, conduct market benchmarking, and utilize internal equity analytics to drive strategy. Communication:
Exceptional ability to influence at the executive level and translate complex data into actionable business insights. Industry Knowledge (Preferred):
Experience in healthcare services, MSO (Management Services Organization), or multi‑site clinical operations. About Seneca Resources
